They broke the news in a conference room today that next week is our last.

I was allowed to finish out my two weeks. And I left for a competitor.
They didn't let you go immediately? That seems crazy since they make employees go once they turn in their two weeks.
Dang. That sucks. Not only for those people but also for the team left trying to pick up the work.

If the first of the contractors are going, this likely doesn't mean that employee layoffs are in as late of a stage is everybody is predicting.
