Here's a link to the Houston Chronicle that also provides Chevron's WARN letter. Chevron provides a specific start date for Houston lay-offs and an exact number of affected employees. Frankly, I wish COP would offer the same level of detail. This waiting-and-wondering game is getting very, very old.

By law, COP has to do the same thing. Just keep an eye out and it will be on the same site.

This is not 100% accurate. Read up on the WARN Act as there are only certain circumstances that trigger the requirement of notification. If those requirements are not met then by law they do not have to issue a WARN notice.
Is it right and ethical, NO but that's what happens when you have greedy, corporate slugs and their attorneys involved. They will go just under the minimum requirements so they don't have to give notice. Rather keep everyone on edge and wondering.
Negative!!! chevron laid off many more, that weren't listed there!!! There are ways around having to post a warn letter. They only post it if it's absolutely mandated!!!! Usually right before they annihilate a single department! Please don't be fooled!!! Chevron is just as messed up as the rest! They are in the dark too!!!

It appears Chevron is conducting layoffs in a tranparent and respectful manner. Maybe COP brass could learn a thing from them.
