I feel safe now that unarmed kids have my back...

I'm one of those "unarmed kids" that have been with the Qualcomm account for over a decade. I'm more in tune with buildings, not departments, so if you state a building I can clarify what maybe going on. More than likely, it's extra coverage for an area that can't be secured-usually because of a leak or facilities issue.
We feel the trepidation and depression too. Nothing has been more on my mind than seeing people...GREAT people, who I care for in danger of a lay off. This includes my fellow officers, and Qualcomm employees from departments A-ZZ, no matter WHAT race or nationality.
It may seem strange to take advice from a person you call for door openings, but I've been here before. I was in danger of losing my clearance and job position a few years ago. I hit my "reset" button and started to diversify my skills in employable interests, and I'm about to release a book that I won't plug on here-This isn't a time or place. What I'm seeing is a lot of frustration with what jobs you guys are tasked with. Maybe a career move is a Blessing in disguise.
Lastly, you're not going through this alone. People involved directly and indirectly sincerely care. I really hope that everything works out for everyone.
Same thing a week before the RIF last January. Something wicked this way comes...
QCA San Jose? They've always been walking the beat in SD.
