Switch to BYOD now. Even if you don't get laid off, it's a better option. Using a company phone has more risks than benefits.

Quite a few individuals use the company phone number and the company email address for all personal correspondences. Bad idea, yes. End of the day the march to the conference room ends access to all company resources.

Yes an option but with the extent of the layoffs working with ConocoPhillips to port the number will be a challenge. Yes log on and determine the options online.
I ported mine. You have to be quick. Log into your account now and get all the account numbers. Than call and port your number as soon as you can after you are laid off. The company called me months later to see who was using this number. I said sorry it's mine now.
There's an IT form that you need to fill out. Once approved, you can transfer the number. I switched to the bring your own device plan to sort this out before the layoffs
I'm 100% sure that you can keep your number. All companies do this. The number is owned by the telecom company, not your employer.
No - the company owns the numbers. Your numbers, that you pay for with your private phone plan...those are portable to different carriers. With the company owning your number, you don't get to take it with you - it's already assigned to their account and won't be transferred to yours.
Suggest you talk to the company before you walk out the door, and get the same phone and phone number transferred over to your account with AT&at. Your phone is probably of minimal value and if they are cutting people the company will not need it . I did that when I retired and have had the phone and sane number ever since I left many years ago.
