Wafra still shutdown. Most expats gone or leaving soon. Chevron still paying some people expat premium to sit in Houston. Won't be easy for displaced expats to find work in other areas due to global slowdown.

Shit I should have took this as a sign of how bad Chevron is managed. I resigned in 2009 because of family issues. Chevron kept paying me, after several calls still played me. After 3 months things worked out and I went back to work as I was never terminated. I know this sounds like buckshot but it is true. My supervisor was retiring so he was never there. The HRBP I called was out on disability. And nobody missed me....they thought I was on a project.
