Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Is there a PDC or ROM in spring next year? Some SASBU people will be must-move in spring, would it be a PDC or ROM?

Most likely more ROMs next year. No PDC. Must moves only.

Chevron is not very good at communicating. Every BU/project/function will see a 25% cut via a ROM in 6 months. Everyone....no exceptions. There will be no fall or spring PDC. Actually no planned PDC for 2016 and 2017 as round two of this ROM is starting again where it started last fall in AMBU. CBU was second up and after AMBU and they too are in for round two. Both are slated for a LARGE cut in January and February of next year. CBU will suspend it's Fox Creek work and go to an NOJV. AMBU is merging with MCBU and will NOJV the Marcellus work. Small staff is slated for Pittsburgh as they move a slated few to Midland (mainly D&C). Houston/San Ramon is slated for round 2 May and June of next year. Looking further to consolidate corporate functions. GOMBU, MCBU, SASBU etc. Will all be slated for a second layoff but they got to get the first over in the next 6 months. The plan is after the initial ROM it takes several months for things to fall into place. The report shakes up EVERYTHING and employees along with management has to figure out the new organization. This takes 6 months. Once the dust settles they can further reduce. Also you we see target specific layoffs. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE......please don't take this as fact. GOMBU after ROM sees several HES inefficiencies with head count. They will whack that group. They are not waiting for second ROM. If you know anyone in AMBU or CBU call up and ask if targeted layoffs are occurring. They either started last week or this week. All of this being said, do not take this personal. It's dysfunctional and I am seeing some of the best employees getting shit canneded. There really is no rhyme or reason. Also they are moving all expats ( for the most part). Because of the 25% reduction there are no jobs when they return. They move you home and your considered layed off. So your superman or woman.....does not matter your toast, not because of anything you did right or wrong but it's all timing of the circumstances. Chevron leadership reading this board better know this information and share it.......as people like myself will post it. The days of hide to bide and shake and bake will be exposed. Welcome to the internet and 2015. And to the leadership. If you start to be ORGANIZED, transparent and honest, people will except it.....it's the deciet that pisses people off. Good luck to all.....in closing ROM1 project Aplha had no change in leadership. If this was a football team my analogy is we are the Redskins. The ownership is not blaming the front office(ROM1) they blaming the coaches(ROM2) for poor performance. As the front office saw no meaningful change in ROM1.....same people in charge.

Your guess is as good as mine. If I were to take a guess, given the way things are, it should be a ROM.
