Nigeria is a cluster f$&@. They hardly have any expats there and felt compelled for financial reasons to lay off 5-10% of the Nigerian workforce in November 2013 and another 5-10% were laid off in June 2014. Oil was $100 at those times.

Feeling here is Alpha ROM didn't cut deep enough and CVX may emulate COP with 10% cut in head-count on voluntary basis first.
Chevron does not have any cash to meet their existing commitments, not to speak of putting new money in new wasteful LNG projects in far-off lands. Close these offices in countries with no real business and save cash. That is where the real cost savings are, not in just getting rid of employeesin the US.
Not sure if the folks in Argentina are contractors, but if you filter in outlook, there are a ton of folks there.
What about Nigeria and Thailand? There are a lot of expats in both countries.
Chevron has a presence in Aregentina? How big?
They do suck.... I don't know why but everyone I meet from SA seems pretty incompetent.

Argentina is going to reduce head count by 40%. Not officially announced yet. LABU as much as 50%. Does Chevron hate Latinas....or maybe it is because we suck more than the American BU's.
