Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Will GE buy NOV & Sperry?

With 40 billion to spend. When will they pounce & acquire assets? They are the only hope for a third big player (now that the deal will close).

small outfit, bargain hunters looking for a small, foot in the door, pallet of service offerings, a cheap acquisition for technology then take what they want and throw away the rest, pare the outfit down, really down for it has run the course.

NOV & Weatherford perhaps........ Sperry still has great potential, just needs to be overhauled.

Spend 40 billion on Sperry?????? NOV and GE are better off buying technology that actually works.

Likely outcome is No buyers. Maybe bargain hunters. Better chance Sperry would get shut down. NOV has superior mud motors anyways. GE strictly doesn't allow community college grads to work in the offices, they would be dumping half the workers within a year.
