Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Sept 17 Ryan Lance addresses Bville Chamber Commerce forum. Should be interesting to hear how he spins COP commitment to Bville.

The retirees are too damn cheap to eat in the cafeteria. But alienate the employees with the "reserved" tables for board games, yes. The young professionals have moved on to other jobs in locations with opportunities for a professional career (and less inbreeding).

With an attitude like that, will probably not last that long!

Anonymous147904, I disagree. I am a retiree and know very few that eat at the cafeteria. Had enough of those high prices when I was an employee. Only thing I know that is used by retirees is the gym which is owned by P66. There has been a huge number of young professionals in the last few years so not as much of a retired population as before, and someday you will be there (retired) too so don't knock it!

The entire Bartlesville campus is perceived to be a senior center for the retirees and the families of the retirees. More often than not the resources catered to the retirees at the expense of the employees. No need for a senior center in Bartlesville with the corporate gym and the corporate cafeteria and the corporate medical clinic.

Tables a plenty for the retirees to play board games in the cafeteria commons areas. The town is little more than a geriatric ward today.
