Seems like if CVX gave employees more freedom to challenge norms and be creative (rather than following a play book) the company would be better off. "Shut up and fall in line" seems to be the mantra for keeping your job at CVX.

There you go - the most honest post that I've read in a while, the overpaid Candy Crush Player syndrome. And THAT, my friends, is why Chevron is in dire need of a good housecleaning!!
I Personally doubt these companies have people in the mail room making 45k or administrative assistant putting 80k in their pockets. Chevron has amazing talented people yet there're by far a lot mor incompetence playing candy crush and taking two hour lunch.
We don't build iPads, iPhones, Search Engines, Andriods and other fancy gadgets. We extract natural resources out of the ground and sell it in the market. We should be compared against the peers not against the Apple Watch.

Yes, by all means. Compare a major O&G corp. to APPL, Goog, etc. instead of it's peers to purposely find fault and claim they're not "progressive" enough!! Nice strategy!!! How about the socialist young fleabag failure CEO with the exorbitant unrealistically high min. Salaries? I think that the creativity in people who try to explain their own failures is unmatched. how 'bout that for a theory?
