Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

No luck so far at P66

I applied to P66 for a Finance job in B'ville. Got an email 4 days later saying they had decided not to fill the position. I'll keep trying...

Look outside the box my friend.. In East coast like Delaware, PA or NC has good financial companies that might need your skills .

Not enough jobs to absorb everyone, but it doesn't hurt to apply.

apply, apply, apply

P66 job postings total under 100 on average (vs. 10 for COP). Roles are cancelled high oil prices and low oil prices. Downstream profits are not dictated by the price of oil. Steady stream of COP employees hired at P66 in the past 3-6 months both in Bartlesville and Houston.

I doubt if they will hire anyone laid off from either company. They want to pay the least amount possible for their workers, so new college grads are the choice for the moment.

GOod luck, I'd recommend applying in 2018 to an oil and gas company.

They don't want COP leftovers with Spirit values.
