I call bullshit. You answer posts here very quickly, and at very late hours of the night. Judging by your piss poor grammar and use of "lol",you don't quite scream "old timer" to me. Why are you up so late on a layoff forum Einstein?

You also completely missed my point, and I've pissed patterns in snow more coherent than your posts.

Regardless, I say troll or otherwise, but still. I hope you had fun bantering and in all seriousness I really do wish you the best for you.

Anonymous149935, Actually, those that aren't counting on a Q paycheck seems to have their priorities correct. Those of you dedicating nearly 90%+ of your time and completely dependent on a W2 paycheck from any company (not just the Q) are the ones that have your priorities messed up. You've become dependent on a master to provide basic food and shelter, which is pretty messed up, considering they will get rid of your ass the moment there are problems with the business, irrespective of how much time, energy, years you've dedicated to that company. Are you folks in QCT that worked 70+hrs/week really that much "safer" than some of the folks in Corp R&D that's been consistently doing only about 40-45hrs/week, for the past few years/decades?

Get off this board. Get out of this company. All of you. Your priorities are all messed up. You're trash.

Lol....I'd say you're more disgruntled that your rent keeps going up then me worrying about home prices or jobs...I'm pretty confident I have more f*** you cash than you do....Advantage of being an old timer, and having bought at the right time, and have a tiny mortgage left that's lower than most likely what you're shelling out for rent. But hey, enjoy that nice glass of sour grapes! lol...Fear? I wouldn't mind a correction, because I'd be more than happy to buy more rentals. And unlike you bitter renters, I'm in no hurry to buy because my shelfer costs are fixed. your costs keep going up year after year, month after month, when rent keeps going up over and over again, where your rent prices are rising higher than your wages...HA HA...lol...

Anonymous149899, You know you can't afford shit. Because if you could, you would have already bought in 2008/2009 when prices were ridiculously low, interest rates were ridiculously low. but you didn't, and you still rent...after all these years...because you can't afford it...Can't afford it then, can't afford it now...Won't be able to afford it when/if there's a correction. Sorry truth hurts....

You also carry on being "financially stable and dumb", while being "smart and poor" may not sound like a groovy idea to you now, you'll be old and poor...maybe poor before you know it

Who said I couldn't afford it dipshit? Did you not understand the point? There are other places that offer way more for way less, so why stay? Simple enough for you?

I also find it ironic that you scorn me for making poor choices in life on a layoff board. What are you doing here? A-Trolling B-Ignorant Dipshit C-Denial and scared, and in danger of losing "your" precious home.

Anonymous149888...I also find it ironic that someone who can't afford to live in this area seems to call others dipshit. If you're so smart, what did you do wrong such that you couldn't get ahead financially??? If being smart means struggling financially and being dumb means being financiallly ok, I'll take being dumb for the win....you can be as smart and poor as you want!

Rent...own...who gives a shit. This place is too expensive and it's become an outhouse with balloons. Couple that with the plethora of shallow dipshits, droughts, wildfires, and carnies (like landlords/Cox/SDGE) and a city that rapes it's residents on taxes, and you get Sandy Eggo. This place can't even keep their shitty football team in town, and I don't blame them for leaving.

Anonymous149885, It's just really funny that whenever you or the OP of the other 3 threads (or if you're are one of them same) post some bullshit with no fact and data, and then I post something with real data, that you go off on a tangent with no real rebuttal with real data. Deflection from the truth. lol... How could you possibly be an an enginerd..Oh wait, chances are ,you aren't....

Anonymous149875 Poor is what you call tenants that can't qualify to buy, and have to put up with ever increasing rent prices, and then complain about affordability of homes...The irony of you and the OP of the other threads or both of you, if you are one and the same (most likely)

the Fed will provide all you can eat Olive Garden breadsticks from here to QEternity. Don't worry, Powaygans. These cultured snobs and their sea urchin shots for breakfast are no match for the county's best marinara.

I'm also laughing my ass off that while you bitter renters are shelling out close to $2500-2700/month for a 2 bedroom condo in SoCal (or $2500/month for a 1 bedroom condo in NorCal), my ridiculously low mortgage + property tax for a 5/4 SFH is $2400...And that's not even including the nice itemized deduction on a 1040 from mortgage interest. So effectively, my carrying cost is around $2250/month...lol...

Anonymous149869.. No way man....I'm just pointing out the hard truth that you bitter renters haven't come to terms with in all of Northern Ca and Southern Ca. Rent prices are getting way out of control and it's eatting into your budgets making it that much more difficult for you to ever get out of the rat race, especially since with virtually no tax benefits for you as a W2 wage slave, and no itemized deduction, you're well, really screwed wrto to bending over on rent, and then bending over when it comes to filing that 1040 and 540 at the end of the year. Ha ha...
