Hopefully COP is smart enough to keep the supervisors/managers whose positions have been eliminated and bump the less ambitious and dynamic individual contributors.

Not a whole lot of value in being the top of the food chain without a food chain. The management must be gutted.
Good luck with that. The original poster assumes that management is better equipped to do the technical work than the individual contributors. I have been an IC for over 30 years, and have always ended up employed after each one of these cuts, because I have technical skills. Supervisors have not always been so lucky. And I've been in management a couple of times, but didn't care for the politics. Sure, there are IC's that should be cut. But don't automatically presume that the supervisor will be bumping any of them. Plus the cuts are so deep that you are going to see specialists retained, and less value for those who profess to being best at managing specialists.
snort Dream on.
Anonymous149857 : I agree with you especially about ass kissing .The company is definely mistreating employees. HR department is suck. All expats should be sent home with no exception!
Ambition at COP equates to a propensity towards ass kissing. Our culture sucks and that is a direct reflection on the supervisors, management, and leadership.
I was told a lack of ambition would get me into management.
Hopefully the top tier supervisor/managers are smart enough to start boxing up their offices, ahead of time.
Hahaha
Dream on boss. You're out!
