Was told today by a manager that layoffs will be Oct 15th for Calgary, with some coming a few weeks later

Layoffs are announced 5 minutes before the meeting... you will not have time to think...All part of the plan...be patient, and take the money... Don't give them the pleasure...I hope they burn in hell for the way they treated me...

Layoffs should be done by Oct 15
They may be hoping to fire a few for misconduct. This saves severence. Don't take the bait! Take the cash.
