Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Nikki gave me this genius idea to create a new position after repeated, huge quarterly losses (although I can't call it a new position). I decided to take the SSA role and combine it with the AR role to create this wonderful hybrid. See, the AR's have always been our breadwinners. They kept the lights on with new enrollments. But transitioning students to their second class and beyond was always a clusterf***, because our AC's were incompetent and swamped with students. On the other hand, we have always paid our SSA's significantly more because they had more responsibility for their student body. Their problem is that they were awful at recruiting. And their SSB was terrible because reentry students drop like flies. So my thoughts were, if I create a position where I combine the pros of each, we will once again succeed. But I was very, very wrong. So now, our new enrollments are at an all time low. What to do, what to do. My solution was unrolled by that weirdo Mike recently. Basically we are going to bring back every student with a pulse, regardless of how much money they owe. I have this great idea where we will sell a third party the student's debt, which allows them to come back to school, and it also allows us to pocket 4 classes of financial aid. I'm really confident that this is the key to our success. At least short term. But that's how I am. I am always putting band aids on this ship. I can't seem to figure out a way to sustain long term growth or even viability. But I make a shit ton of money and clock like six miles a day pacing the isles. So what the hell do I care? At the end of the day this band aid won't hold and in no time I'll be forced to find another shitty solution to solve our eternal floundering. Wish me luck.
