I asked my supervisor he said he didnt know anything about layoffs (my supervisor doesn't lie..if he knew he would have told us - he was himself v.depressed because of layoffs)

I thought with WARN layoffs couldn't begin until the 30th or 31st of October at the earliest? Or will this be a 2-week notice sort of a thing?
If he honestly doesn't know then he's getting cut.
There are no rooms booked in Calgary for October or September with private appointment
