everyone knows that 1500 reduction of workforce won't solve the Company's cash flow problem. Company needs major overhaul in management who led us into this mess, and we don't see any changes in management. They can let go of all the workforce, but if the strategy stay the same, nothing will get resolved. The ROOT CAUSE of this problem should be tackled. Staffs didn't cause these problems, they just simply follow the direction given by management and leaders, and now they are being put at line of fire as scapegoats. This shows lack of integrity by CVX leaders. Shame on them.

I agree, IT Management is a lost group of people, I did not say Leadership as Chevron has no clue what Leadership is. If they did, they would remove a lot of managers who have no idea how to lead.
Worse run organization in the IT Industry. Until they get rid of all the dead weight GM's nothing at Chevron will change. I suspect they will let me go in round 2 and I think it is best, as I have no respect for the new managers and have no faith they have any idea how to actually lead.
Also, where has Watson vanished to? He seems to have crawled into a hole to hide.
It is obvious that most of these posters are poor at spelling and math. With that lack of elementary skills, you should be worried. Party on if you were hired by a relative.

I think Chevron did a little trimming to showoff to WS but this will not have any impact.
I find it hard to believe that some think the layoff is only 1500! People that is the WARN number that was submitted for Project Alpha only! The final figure will be much higher
