Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

AMBU Once your Reliance JV is done in October you are toast!

If this place was still Atlas we would be drilling 350 wells like the rest of the independents here. Atlas also did not kill employees. Chevron hired fast food kids as well site managers. I was at Atlas for 7 months when Chevron bought them. After the retention bonus I left. The Atlas trash is still there with the clueless Chevron employees. I saw here on a post where Chevron is the joke of the basin. Indeed they are. We have 34 people and drill twice as many wells without killing contractors. And yes the people that were left after the reorganization was shocking. Most of the Chevron leaders leave after 2 years. What a f***ed up business model. For the two years I was there I had 5 different supervisors that never saw a perf gun. A friend told me about this board and it is funny but sad as it's all true. What a bunch of egotistical punks your company is filled with. It was Crystal clear AMBU was dying 3 years ago.

Rice Energy hosted Jeb Bush yesterday... You wonder why they went to Rice Energy rather than Chevron? Probably because Chevron is not the leading producer in this area, nor expected to be around for much longer.

I don't ever post on these things, but please do research before you post. Atlas did have a fatality, a young man working on a drilling rig.

Reread mine and read yours. I didn't say you worked for production. You said if D&C personnel would have done it at least do it with D&C personnel not production personnel that have zero well experience. The pad was under the D&C groups control when the incident took place.

would have snubbed the production casing in and be done with it at least do it with D&C personnel not production personnel that have zero well experience

That's your post

Hey hillbilly, the incident that took place at Lanco, that pad was under the D&C group not Production. Do you guys just post bullshit half the time or all the time? Your hard hat must be shinny white.

I don't believe anybody in the Appalachian Basin uses a coil tubing rig to install tubing. I've worked on a service rig and worked on a chevron location. It's true they don't snub and everyone else does, but it's not true they install tubing using a coiled rig. Maybe you office girls and boys should spend some time in the field.

Yes this needs exposed, I agree. How about the biggest single fine in Pennsylvania history......This is Jesse's doing.....http://www.law360.com/articles/662062/chevron-fined-nearly-1m-over-fatal-gas-well-fire....Jesse has blood on his hands. So does Chevron Management. The Wellsite Manager that was there during the explosion was a short order cook at Kings Family Restaurant less than a year ago.....it's all in the report. They paid 5 million and agreed to the report. http://powersource.post-gazette.com/powersource/companies-powersource/2015/05/28/Chevron-to-pay-5-million-to-settle-wrongful-death-suit-Marcellus-Shale-Pennsylvania/stories/201505280190. No one else in unconventional plays use coil to place tubing....only Chevron.....because of Jesse Morris. His doings cost a 27 yo man and father to be his life! I guess when you kill a man in Chevron you get promoted to GOMBU?

Snubbing in production casing? Or production tubing? I think you mean production tubing, the production casing (5 1/2) is installed during the drilling process. Like you said snubbing is done everywhere, and done safely. Chevron does not snub at all company wide? Or just in the Appalachian Basin?

For example the fatality at AMBU...the rest of the story..... Allegedley Jesse Morris a D&C manager who did not want to snub in production casing....why? He was somewhere and some got killed snubbing so the story goes. So Jesse is D&C manager in AMBU and decides no snubbing.....Chevron snubs production casing everywhere else. Everyone snubs in casing....EVERYONE...except AMBU. No snubbing leads to stabbing the live well with coil to place a plug and then leave a frac head on the live well for months. This was the root cause for the PA fatality and Chevron has no clue. My last attempt was talking to the new VP who came from a refinery and had zero upstream experience and a few months later everyone's prediction came true. Inexperience hands working on a live well that was plugged several months before and rocked up close to 5,000 PSI. If Morris was not such a dumb ass we would have snubbed the production casing in and be done with it at least do it with D&C personnel not production personnel that have zero well experience......but the Chevron Way to Get fed in the Ass....Morris gets promoted. F up to move up. His idiotic and blatant negligence kills a young man. This is public knowledge and guess what, as of last month they still don't snub!!!! DISASTER. Chevron should not be allowed to operate. Anonymous142338 The Help The Help repost for you

Chevron hires a relative who was a fast food worker as a safety expert and Chevron HR or PR people call that an "issue?" Every BU and company has issues.

That incompetence may have played a role in the death of a worker. Maybe the former fast food worker came up with the idea of sending out coupons for a free pizza to the neighboring town's people?

Ironically, fast food jobs require you to name relatives on job applications.

I would love, just love for you to enlighten us on what happened at Lanco, since you were born working in the oilfield? Ambu has issues, nobody is saying they don't. You sit here and post the same thing, every couple days. If you still work at Ambu it's not helping fix the issues, and if your laid off you sound like a disgruntled, bitter ex-employee.... Every BU has issues, just like every company outside of Chevron has its issues.

Chevron had fast food worker over the Lanco fire when the well blew up.....he was acting as the WSM and 6 months before he was flipping burgers. This was documented by Pennsylvania Bureau of Investigation. I heard Nigel Hearne at a Town Hall refuted the report then had no comment , then Chevron agreed to the report.I will not wear Chevron logo's when I go to Pittsburgh. I don't think anyone will be going back there in the next few months. My supervisors keep saying AMBU was a complete failure and will either be sold or NOJV'd. Talk to any Chevron employee stuck up there and they will tell u the same!

"Fast food" kids as drill site managers? I think you have been drinking too much of your own kool aid.

We get it; AMBU is messed up.

You, however, sound like an under qualified Atlas slug that misses their old job. Maybe?

Atlas did a much more productive job and didn't accidentally kill anyone. Those are facts. Chevron did hand out free pizza coupons after the fatality.
