hahaha. Seeing all the depressed posts and comments from you pathetic engineers makes me happy. My primary-care practice grossed in almost $2 million last year. It'll probably be the same this year. I replace two doctors who worked for me with two PAs (physician assistants), and I even make more money. Overheads (staff, insurance etc..) here and there won't make a big dent. Last week, all the patients came in with minor check-ups and generic-drug prescriptions. Complicated stuff? I refer to specialists. hahah. I laugh my way to the bank! My wife has her own dental office, and she doesn't even have to work. She just hires associates and collects from their productions. Guess what? We both went to shitty schools in college and barely made it. Guess who's laughing now? hahah. Engineers are stupid. My two kids will have to jump over my dead body if they want to pursue engineering. hahah what a bunch of idiots! Sit in a corner and cry and be sad. Dumb-gineers! (.)

OP: If you are a solo primary care practice that grossed $2 million, you're either skimming from the gov't or selling pills on the side! I know primary care doctors who run their own practice around here who are lucky if their net is as much as engineers after expenses.

Usually people who make posts about enjoy watching other people go through hardship is reflecting their own sad and miserable life. I believe the term is called schadenfreude. I agree with Anonymous152397. The OP might not be a minimum wage doctor, but clearly not someone successful, especially with all that pent up hate for successful people. Sounds like he needs mental help.
OP's story seems to have changed from a practice that generates $2M gross revenue to $2M gross income. $2M gross revenue probably is less than many successful engineers make since staff salaries, Insurance, rent and billing come off the top before the tax man hits you. I know some GPs. They're underpaid for the level of education they need to get. OP should have claimed to be a specialist and kept his story straight. Entertaining thread though...

The great news is that generally I'm a pretty happy person with my wife and kids. And the great news is that my wife and friends are real doctors who aren't assholes like you who aren't even a real doctor...So I have plenty of doctors that really do care about the patient. And when I die, I can look back and say I've enjoyed the past 30-40 years of my life, because there pretty much isn't anything else I need or want in this world. So when I die, I'm going to die a happy man with a big bang...
I hope one day, you can find happiness. Because you sure seem like a really unhappy person. I hope one day you can find something better for yourself versus your minimum wage job.. But I think even if by chance you did win the lottery, and did have $2million/year, you probably would be still a very unhappy person...I hope you find peace one day. Like I said, nothing worse than dying with a life full of misery and regrets, to the point that you actually feel like you have to have other people be brought down to your miserable life just so you can gain 1 tiny ounce of happiness, if at all to make yourself feel better that there are possibly others as miserable as you.

Most doctors don't own their own practice these days, because medical malpractice insurance is ridiculously expensive, so most doctors are W2-salaried employees. Furthermore, most successful doctors that are surgeons (like my wife), simply do not have the means to own their own practice without an sort of affiliation with a major hospital. And if you are family practice, you definitely are not making $2million/year, because we know exactly what all the major insurance companies pay for family practice. So again, I stand by what I said. You aren't a doctor, you aren't even close to $2million/year. I doubt you even make $100k/year. You only got is a case of sour grapes, again probably a minimum wage worker that is disgruntled that others had it much better than you for a lot long than you have...The good news, is while most engineer's situation at the Q is only temporary, your financial situation seems pretty permanent...

Engineering field is being cannibalized by foreign nationals; too much competition; this is not the case in medical field; that is why doctors can dictate huge compensations.
