ROM 1 results from posts and personal stories show those With an Expression of Intereest to be left standing and collect severance wee all given jobs! Some were complete surprises including a transfer to San Ramon! Did I anyone EOI AND GET IT? Or is it a ploy to encourage those to quit now or later?

Depends on your group. I provided an "Expression of Interest" and was left standing. Finance professionals are more likely to get it than Engineers. "2s" and more likely to get it if requested than "2+ or 1". If you are perceived to have special knowledge you will be less inclined to get it other than a solid performer who is just a cog in the CVX engineer. I was very solid but not a high flyer.
