The fact that Patterson kept Mabee, even though he knew Mabee is a disaster means Patterson wasn't doing his job. What does this say about Hrap for keeping Patterson? Hopefully Terry King will deal with the problem before he causes any more destruction.

I do know that if anyone thinks they know Bill Patterson and felt they had to bury their nose anywhere, the didn't know Bill Patterson at all.

I’m sorry to see Bill Paterson go. I am experiencing from a problem though with his retirement. After years of having my nose buried up his ass. I have to get reacquired with oxygen.

Mabee will not last long under Terri King! She will have no time for his BS and blame everybody else strategies! Why keep a totally worthless subsurface and surface program!

Time to get rid of Mabee too! He is a used car salesman who presents other people's ideas as his own to senior management. His is totally lacking technical skills and experience, and surrounds himself with likeminded, parasitic dullards. The absolute worst team in the company, especially after he got rid of leaders and competition in the first round of layoffs!

With the RBU and SJBU merging together leaves either Bij Agarwal or Terri King (both are the same level as Patterson) out in the cold. Seems like it would be more likely that one of them would take Patterson's place. Not saying they are any better but it is another option.

If Patterson could name 5 bottom level engineers, or even 5 assets he managed, I would be very, very surprised

Let's be realistic and callous. These guys aren't retiring, they are being severed. One can retire with the normal retirement package, or one can be severed, be given the severance package (up to 60 weeks pay) AND be eligible for retirement benefits.

So call it like it is....Bill Patterson was LET GO.
