Well the results for Fall rush are in and they speak for themselves. We need more than hassle free shopping slogans. We need a leader with proven results. Last year under MLS, results were dramatically different. Sure she was tough, but she made the tough decisions and got results. There are absolutely no strategies being presented by the current leaders. No direction.

Anonymous153371- You must be on drugs. She fired or drove out the people with years of knowledge of the book industry and hired her buddies from RRD, Sears, Kmart, and Office Max. She lost the dedicated employees that had the institutional knowledge of the business and thus doomed the company to failure. Her answer was we can fix that! She failed and wrought untold misery to a once great company. She blew company money on her personal comfort while stores struggled with not enough professional staff. When I think of her I think sadistic egomaniacal b***h not a great leader.

Anyone who thinks she could right the ship is either an idiot or one of her lame cronies hires. She devastated what was a once great organization. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. Were there dedicated, honest, quality individuals who knew the industry in place absolutely! Need proof? Look at where the company was before her and where it is now. Figures don't lie but liars do figure! In all fairness however, criticism has to be directed at the current generation of the Follett family as well. Look at the company when Bob Follett, Dick Litzinger, Dick Trout ran it. Look at it now. How sad for a once industry leader to now be an industry laggard.
Whether I agreed with all of it or not, she dictated a strategy and a purpose. I think most of the results from last year were the result of previous leadership of christopher/shapiro/hainline/winter/pribyl. Those improvements were processes they put in place to improve retail prior to them moving on.
