Stock price moved over the 50 day simple moving average based upon FOMC event risk, i.e. Further potential easing or weakening of the dollar. Best purchase of a stock is made when you have positive MACD and a break above of the 10 day Sma on heavy volume. Use something free to chart the stock price, or like stockcharts or a retail brokerage should also have the software for free. Clearly, I think the difference is CHK is up over 10%, just slightly more than the roughly 1% uptick in the market as a whole.
