So far HR and Management just lay off people. Do anybody know when they will get laid off? If there are less workers, we don't need as many managers and HR people walking around.

Where do all you people get this stuff, you are a bunch of uneducated morons. Halliburton did not buy Baker to get rid of it. They want to grow and wanted a lot of the services Baker has. They will be scrapping a lot of their stuff and keeping Bakers and vice versa. Most of you all that post think you know but you are clueless stupid pieces of amphibian shit and the scum of the earth. People like you all who are posting negative and racist comments due to you were laid off lies the reason you were weeded out of the company all though I know there were some who were laid off that were good workers but that is due to a happening event with OPEC and oil prices. Haliburton Does not need Baker! The whole deal was to get rid of Baker! And they are ! In the end the Baker people will be reapplying at Haliburton. Welcome 12.50 to 13.00 that's your new hourly rate!
Don't hate the trainers. Even though their workday ends at 5 PM, they don't have to work on the weekends and they get every holiday off, remember that most came from the field, where they were on call 24/7, worked long hours and didn't get every holiday off. Once upon a time, they were you. Besides, won't they and the staff be needed to train the Halliburton people when the companies merge? It is my understanding that Halliburton will keep BH's training facility so they will need BH personnel to show them how things function in this new facility.
This makes too much sense and won't ever happen. They won't choose to lay off themselves unless they already have a golden parachute negotiated into their contract.
I agree. I also stopped by the learning center recently and there was barely any learning going on. When will they layoff the people at this facility that aren't doing any work or bringing in any revenue? If they aren't going to layoff these people, I would like to get a job there so I can get paid to not do any work.
