cannot believe it.
FYI I know that all the management was directed to downgrade everyone by one number during the last review.
Who got one lower number than they usually get?
They need to cover their asses. That means cutting employees across all ages, tenures, genders, races, ethnicity, family sizes and performance levels. This way no one can win a discrimination law suit. Some good guys have to go, together with some bad apples. I cannot recall if I got a 4 or a 5 on my last evaluation, was awarded a qualstar last month, and... got impacted. The feeling is not great, but there is nothing I can do about it now. Even if there was, I certainly wouldn't want to continue working for qualcomm. Independently of what they say or advertise themselves, there isn't much respect for the amount of effort people commit to this company. Qualcomm way my ass!

"it wasn't solely about performance" Then what is it about? As* kissing?
I've had a 5 the last couple cycles, plus at least 1 recent Qualstar. My bosses were not happy when they saw I got the news today.
The guy giving me the bad news said it wasn't solely about performance.
