Keep your personal email personal, and copy anything you need/want from your COP Outlook records, I.e. Calendar, Email, Notes, etc., because if you are laid off, you won't be allowed back in your office, and your access to the company company systems will be severed. If you are called to s conference room, take your purse, cell phone, tablet, & other personal tech devices with you.

Yes, escorted by a member of your management to a conference room staffed with a member of human resources, handed one sheet of paper signed by your management noting your termination, guided quickly through a severance package and walked out by human resources with security guarding the route. The entire process is 15 minutes from start to finish.
What's the process once in the conference room - just handed a pack and papers and then escorted out of the building?
Wow that's rough. They need to get out of the "Pure upstream" Market. Lose some drill sites, build some refineries, merge, etc. Or don't hire three people to fill the job of one person. Yes, you may be paying those people a lower accumulated salary but after a few raises you are paying quite a bit more.
ConocoPhillips ethics. Lie to the employees about a staff meeting in lieu of notification of a layoff.
I was called on phone by manager who asked me to come to conference room, so didn't have hours to collect things, just couple minutes as I walked out of my office.
My manager came by about 2-hours before and said we were having an "emergency team meeting" at 4:30. When I walked out of my office door at 4:25, he was there to walk me to a conference room where the HR rep was waiting.
