Novak is incompetent, but as a former newscaster, his connections help Qualcomm manipulate what is said about them in the news. He and Tim McDumbass were busy lobbying for their jobs while the other marketing VP, a woman, was busy doing hers. Guess who got pushed out? That's right. The competent female! Marketing suffers from what ails the rest of the company. Cronyism!
