There were some crews in Alvarado that were being given double tickets for each job so they could tag the company for 6 job bonuses a day. Story was they were making $250,000 a year gross. The incompetent management allowed this one to get by them. Curious as to how the boys are loving the big dip in their theft now.

At one time Halliburton was one of the best companies to work for.

That's when you had people in management who came up thru the ranks.

Not the fast track either.education and degrees are important. But also on the job experience.

What you have now is college degree management. Who feel entitled and above field personal. From mid management all the way to the top.love to see them rig up a pump truck. Or pump around the clock for days.

Only cheap to the people who go out and provide the service to the customers. And generate the revenue.

Stock options and bonus from mid management on up.

You tell me what is wrong with that picture.

Let's quantify this claim: Last year our company set profit records. This year oil tanked and we were given zero raises for last year's accomplishments. Meanwhile, the company purchased Baker for 34 billion dollars. Generously assuming Halliburton's 60k employees earn average $75k/year, 4% raises would be $3,000 each, for a total cost of $180million. Sounds like a lot of money, right? so they're justified in denying cost-of-living pay increases across the board to save costs? Not when you realize $180mil is only 0.5% of $34bil. Executive management could have given every single employee a raise 200 times over.

By the way, don't expect focal point raises next year either.

Yes. Often pay engineers way less than they are worth. Would not accept an engineering position with them for anything less than $95,000. Also tend to hire too many visa holders on claims that they cannot find an US worker with the required skills. This is important to note and is actually very powerful info for the US engineer. Never give any help to a visa holder, remember they are the expert, remember that you simply cannot assist or advise in any matter that is on the visa holders plate. They are the expert after all.
