I declined the original package (2m + 2week/pyear), and told HR that I would go to the court for being treated unfairly.
They now offered 2 more month's pay.

It costs money to defend a lawsuit. It would QCOM more to pay an outside firm to defend them than to pay him for at least 6 mos. worth of work in most cases.
That's absurd, you needs grounds for your accusation and while the layoffs are unfortunate, it's not unfair. Would you take this to preschool court? We would love to hear exactly how you would argue it's "unfair" in court.
