I lost my jobin 1987 in the first oil glut.i was a machinist building drilling rigs and ecquipment, they shut my plant down,i had 12 years there.dresser ideco was the name,i didn't take my lump sum of a whole 1200 dollars.i just starde getting my annuity of 138.00 a month,,not much but it buys food, out of work for 2 years I got a job with chevron I 1989,been there since, now another oil glut hits again, now losing 120,000 in my 401,,but I didn't sell it.im hanging in there with my stock and reinvesting the dividends.at 63 years old .I might see us dip out of this one..but gas is 1.85 im my town and that's great I guess.were not dependent on foreighn oil this time, this 1 will last longer.there is 1000s of contracters in texas building lng plants and expansions, permanent jobs r hard to get now,my advice to all is save your money for a rainy day..
