  1. As the expression goes two wrongs don't make a right. But excess funds should be sent back. This naturally would happen after EDMC exacts its pound of flesh. You have to have rules of engagement for school and student so neither party is tempted to be a bad actor. The feds are lame in this area as evidenced from title IV still being available to South University in Tampa, Fl.with a grad rate of 3% in health related studies. Why are there not quality measures that act as a prerequisite for raiding loan money willy nilly. I blame the organized institution as well as the occassional petty thief for this skulldugery. But by far the organization who is licensed and accredited to do business in any given state bears the greater burden to live up to its stated purpose to produce credible graduates at reasonable percentages. This EDMC does not do. Look at the stats and explain to me how by any any stretch of logic, reason or imagination these "schools" should be allowed to exsist. They don't do the job of education as evidenced by their low grad rates throughout all brands and as such have been reduced to merely a jobs program solely supported by the federal

government. So who is stealing from whom?

Thank you 785. My main point is that this has been more and more in the news and if any new student did a little bit of research they should be informed enough to make a better choice. Some students are as corrupt as EDMC. EDMC takes advantage of many people but others use that to work both ways. Students should never have been allowed to get a check for money after dropping a class. That money should go back to the lender if not used for school. I feel bad for those taken advantage of but there are many that don't fall into that category.

At this point, I agree that there is enough information about EDMC schools to put the burden on the students but it is still a sad state of affairs which has been allowed to continue for far too long.

Who cares, at this point if students are stupid enough to go to one of EDMC's schools then they deserve what they get. Some students outright state they will never pay their loans back, sign up for classes then drop them to get the money. EDMC is a crooked company and some students want to scam the system. It is a symbiotic relationship of morons working the system.

I really feel for the students who are starting school this fall. They are not going to have a school to graduate from.
