Has anyone learned about possible layoffs in the corporate office sometimes in 2016. There is a ton of rumors, I think it'll happen, the only thing I do not know is when things will happen. I mean, what timing Sears executives have in mind when it comes to layoffs. Also, nobody knows what departments will be consolidated and how many people will be laid off. Some of our competitors are also cutting pay, if that happens that would be horrible as many of us have families to suppor.

They will all be gone within a few months. Just wait for the next quarter sales (loss) report. There is no cash left, investors will flee and vendors will refuse to ship unless they are paid first. Dont be fooled, corporate will lie, cover-up and do anything to put on a good front to try to fool the public.
Everyday people are given notices or let go for real reason at headquarters - small numbers which add up over a month. In April 2016 over 450 were let go - plus four days of. 134 each day. As these people slip away, managers say the people just left for other opportunities as to not upset those left behind. It's a don't tell environment where questions are met with your release. I asked and that day was cut after a number of years there. Fired - no real reason other than my boss being upset over my question about a coworkers sudden disappearance.
Layoffs are coming. Store closing yes. Will be announced after Christmas. So fast Eddie can blame sales.
I think layoffs in both corporate and store level are inevitable...and more store closings. It's just a waiting game.
