Seriously, if the local companies want to "poach" departing Qs, they really need to step up and show us the money. It's a big world out there and we can/will fly long distance for the honey.

I retired in '08 as a senior staff embedded engineer. I was making about 117k/year at the time. That's not counting options/bonuses I got, which pushed me to maybe 150k/year, although with options that's really hard to guess.
