I personally know 3 tms who were offered lateral positions at another store a few miles away and they all chose the sevrance package. They said were going to play for 6 months then apply for whatever was available. Go figure.

Are you serious? What options? The postings on the website portal for internal employees where every other laid employee within your radius was applying? How careless your statement is on this board.

You need to be more compassionate and be more knowledgeable. smh....stay off this site, please

Are you being serious!? Being offered a part time position when all you've worked is full time is reason enough. I feel sorry for every single person that is staying. Its gonna get a lot harder for Whole Foods. They like to do things harder not smarter.

I agree with 180577. I was thinking the same this must be someone in leadership who posted this.Wow yes give options to people who have been loyal for 15+ years. Not caring if some are single parents having to pay bills. Give them a shity option of applying for your positon against your fellow friends or severance.. Bye Felicia is what I say. Worked me long enough for 12 long years. I have seen this company care less and less about team members. They can scratch Team Member Happiness off the core values .All they care about is making money and more store openings. Whole Foods is the new Wal-Mart..

I'm back home and I have been watching and reading about it. I feel sad that this company got rid of such great team members . Yeah,no one lasts forever and neither will WFM

you had the option to stay, interview for a new position, or take a smaller position for less money but they would have provided the difference in pay for a while... You choose to leave! All buyers should have been made aware this is the direction WFM was headed in. The rm regions already combined buyer positions

There is no option. Leave or fight your friends for a chance to do more for less. Nothing is guaranteed, not status or benefits or scheduling. Not a single person at our store who was offered severance stayed, and many of the rest are hoping to be included in another round of cuts. Who would want to stay after that?
