I have tremendous respect for what the QCOM founders accomplished. IJ, PV and the other founding members built a hugely successful business and created a lot of wealth both both themselves and many others. SM et.al. did not create this company and were unable to continue the success of the original members. They got to the top not by creating, but by playing the political game well. They are now working to extract whatever value they can over the next couple of years by downsizing and breaking the company up into parts. Nothing impressive in what they're doing. But nobody should cry over spilled milk. This is creative destruction at work. The capital extracted from the dismantling of QCOM will be put to more productive use somewhere else. Probably not in the USA... 💰
