Superfluous Write-ups

At my store, 4 supervisors were written up last week. Offenses ranged from the bizarre , to tardiness that had occurred weeks before.

I was called into a meeting today to discuss an action plan addressing random complaints from my team members and it was suggested that I could step down as team educator.

anyone that has been at the company more than 13 years gets the maximum 26 weeks of severance. no? pay attention and see if the correctives are geared at those people. the arroyo store is hiring 10 new cashiers... clearly they expect a carnage of old cashiers soon...

they want to get as many write ups on the full timers as possible before the next round of lay offs..if they can lose a few team members to corrective action attrition versus having to pay severance(which i heard the amount paid in total nation wide was huge)...be prepared for those "out of dress code violations"..bad customer service, and the such over the next few months

What region? I was strangely getting the feeling this would start happening and then I see this post. As far as bizarre and superfluous goes I've got some stories. The only common thread amongst them is the so called leaders who are trying to look better or deflect blame for some big storewide management failure. From my experience corrective action has never corrected anything.
