The point of the OPS is that many dumb people or friends have joined Qualcomm and don't do shit, good management should review their people every year and let go people who don't contribuites period.... This is now affecting all of us as these stupid useless people remain here !!!

Thats the way its always been and otherwise, it's socialism and thats probably not going to work out in the long run, so this is the way it has to be. QCOM was spoiled because of the work that the founders and many early employees did to create the IP and the chip business and everyone has been riding on their coattails. People just got fat, dumb, and happy, deluding themselves into thinking thats the way it always going to be - why, "because we are QCOM", taking a hubristic attitude. Management was also at fault, for not realizing what a sweatshop they were running in many parts of QCT (QUIC/Android in particular) and not creating a more socially cohesive work environment. But it is what it is, take it or leave it. They are not evil. They are not out to screw you. Situations change, business changes, deal with it. They have made a proposition to you, pay you whatever salary + extras and you do the work. If you don't want to do the work for that $, fine, just get up and go. No one is stopping you. Jeez, stop demonizing the company. If you leave for greener pastures, more power to you. I did, and I can say it was a great decision on my part. Probably will be on yours as well. But this company bashing is kinda BS at this point. People aren't going to band together to stick it to the company. Just ain't going to happen. Everyone has their own set of concerns. They may complain but ultimately if people just complain and put up with it, then the company did the right thing. If people leave and the company cant carry on, then the company did the wrong thing. I'll bet that even with people leaving, they will stumble on and things will move forward, just with a different set of monkeys. So relax and just figure out whats best for you and if working at QC is still good enough, fine.

Isn't it easier to just quit and find a new job? We live in the USA where we are free to choose. USE IT!!!
As I principal engineer, I prefer to stay till get impacted. Good income from Qualcomm on my level.
