They will never take a real pay cut. Halliburton is run for the benefit of senior management. When the industry rebounds, 2017 earliest, they will fill needed positions with re-hires and new employees at 25% lower wages - just like 2010.

Wow. Hope that really wasn't Dave that posted that reply. If so it shows us all exactly what sort of person he is and why the company is in such a mess. A CEO or exec taking a pay cut would be the best 'image' imaginable in times like this. That would be someone I could get behind and support. That would be someone who could motivate 'low level employees.'

Dave Lesar actually hired himself when he was brought into Halliburton in previously troubled times. Check it out. He's a dangerous guy, actually saw him enjoying himself last week at the Emirates Golf Course.

Halliburton should be Unionized. Workers would be treated fairer and paid more if we were in a Union.

Oil CEO's aren't like Steve Jobs who have a direct impact on the company to create value so that they can be paid $1.00 & The rest in stock. They're usually entitled people who feel they deserve the outlandish pay, bonus, and options even when the business isn't doing well.

High level executives are not subject to pay cuts. We must maintain a certain image . We achieved a higher level through years of college which is something the lower level employees did not do.

Dave Lesar is a weasel of epic proportions. He would fire every employee before he ever considered a pay cut for himself. He doesn't have the best interests of the company in mind, he only looks out for himself. Granted with the price of oil in the toilet, cuts to workforce did/do have to be made, but the choices of who is being let go is ridiculous. Middle management should have been the first ones let go in Q1.

Never, because they don't care about people and if they have jobs. Period.

Dave Lesar says that we the workers are falling behind. He says we need to work harder. He ain't taking no pay cut, that's why he's the boss. If you can't work faster then you're out of a job. Hit the road
