This is the best news for Qualcomm. The future would be great. The I in his Title stand for Idiot.

Why assume he left voluntarily?
why spend $1000 per windows laptop when you can spend $200 on a chromebook and $800 on stock buybacks? with pair-programming, you can have one chromebook for every 2 people, and spend $1800 on buybacks.
Norm was a good guy. Times have changed though, he's not the change agent they need.
if the Chief Sugar Officer quits, we'll know the days of free soda are numbered.
George Davis came from a mediocre semiconductor company, and now this company is heading downward. His financial strategies are not helping us innovate.
Several SVP's and EVP's have gone elsewhere. If they know it's time to go somewhere else, I'd follow suit.
This is definitely a bad sign. :(
When the split happens will CRD be split down the middle, all go with QCT, or worse.. eliminated ???
I think a split/sell off is inevitable. It appears the goal is to lay some off, offshore where possible, reduce costs and make it miserable for those remaining that they quit so no severance is paid.
Only issue is the good people will leave and those that really don't care about themselves or Q will stay.
I have to agree that Geroge Davis' gotta go. As soon as he became the CFO, he turned CRD into a pure bean-counting outfit. And the CRD brass has no spine to fight back. All we try to do now are just low-hanging fruit stuff. We have no innovation because we have not invested in innovation. Make no mistake, our CrD budget is mostly "D" now, there is very little true "r" is taking place. This is the kind of future we end up with when you put a bean-counter like George in charge.
Wasn't Norm on the Ashley Madison list?
Norm didn't screw the pooch on this outsourcing fiasco, George Davis forced it down his throat and I'm guessing more is coming around the bend that's why Norm is leaving like Mark S. Before him. 3 years ago studies showed qualcomm IT perormed more work with best customer satisfaction with 25% less people than many larger companies. You can thank George for ruining the corporate culture, morale, and removing any company loyalty that was ever generated by a great IT management team.
Where is Norm going?
Yep, Norm Feldhiem has even had enough of this shithole. Smart guy...
I really care about that info.
Good riddance.
