Stress kills. This IS slowly killing us...
Working there killed a small part of me. Made me a little bitter. Feel much better now that I'm gone. Sad to see that the only people that get promoted are people who have slept with someone else in the company or its the only way to move up. Most of time uglies and uglies.
I am so glad to see the post about TLs and "every stupid bit of busy work". Actually like my TL, but his ATLs are the huge problem - especially the bloated, show-boat, ego-driven idiot that hands out orders and does nothing to get his hands dirty. He cooks in the kitchen often - and leaves everything for the "peons" to clean up and put away. I have never worked anywhere that has been so poorly managed and so little-ego driven. I have not one iota of respect for some of these people in "Leadership". Pfffttttt. I also have never been so condescended to anywhere, ever. Anyone ever read "The Peter Principle"? Google it. Eye opening in a big way. Furiously job hunting!
Especially working with certain TLs who are on huge power trips and think every stupid bit of busywork they can think up is the most important task in the world. It's so draining.
