Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Shame on All of You

Those of you that are calling out their managers/supervisors/superintendents by name: shame on you. It just goes to show your low class and how bitter you are. I understand that everyone is frustrated, but there really is no need to bring up names and humiliate them. About 90% of the time, it wasn't their fault y'all got laid off.

Hence the difference between a manager or supervisor and a "leader"! Ryan may be the CEO, but he is not a leader. A leader does not hide during a layoff or hide behind a committee when hard decisions have to be made. A leader is not worried about being lived by everyone, because he or she had a vision to implement. A leader understand that vision is not selling someone else's ideas and taking credit for them! A leader does not practice or accept a$$kissing, and does not have favorites. A leader is always willing to jump into the fray and get dirty (i.e., do some actual work), but they do not micromanage or undermine. A leader develops his/her organization, because that is their true legacy.

There are very few leaders left in COP, and even fewer who CAN ever become leaders. It is now a company of lemmings...parasitic, cannibalistic and diseased lemmings!

So get out of te fetal position Nancy, and get used to being called out for being a worthless tool with soft lips! This is the new reality, and we do not want to work for spineless invertebrates like you!

In the Navy, when a ship sinks, the Captain goes down with it. In COP, the Captain is the Italian Cruise ship captain, the first one to desert his crew and passengers!

Cry me a river. You wanted to be a supervisor/manager/director. With that role comes a little thing called "leadership". You are the top blade of grass, you and your co-supervisors/managers/directors need to deal with it. Going gets tough and you cry about people pointing fingers at you?! Maybe if you did your job a lot of this wouldn't have happened. You are to blame, not the worker bees getting laid off for busting their tails.

I say people need to keep listing names of the idiots running the company departments and make them stand up and actually be a leader.

Go back to your fantasy world and get off this site if you don't like what you are reading. Keep your head in the sand and keep believing COP elite give a crap.
