Schlumberger getting hit with huge lawsuit for overtime violations

They are building a class action up in Chicago and have several other folks signed on. This practice was rampant in the oil fields.

You pay people a salary, and then your work them 100 + hours a week. Called a job bonus/day rate. Years back food service was working folks as "salary workers" when their jobs were not management or at a desk. The companies were trying thwart the fair labor practices to get around overtime pay. This practice was ruled on by the supreme court a few years back and laws were passed for even salary folks in these situations who should get overtime.

They don't have to abide by our US laws it's a foreign company & that's why they lay off people born in the USA first.
