Thread regarding Advance Auto Parts Inc. layoffs

CEO Darren Jackson and his Best Buy Cronies have ruined this company

This started slowly at first when Darren Jackson became CEO, small changes, seemed to be helpfull, then as he got his Best Buy cronies in positions of power the shit hit the fan. Hours got cut, raises became non-existent,good people are let go based on a sales metric that is unreasonable. You are now hired in as close to minimum wage as possible, part time only. You are required to install batteries and wiper blades as part of your job in any weather condition, yet they want you to be knowledgeable about cars, yehh right. This company has shown record profits, the stock values have gone through the roof, stocks have split and grown, yet the company cries poor mouth and treats the employees like slaves. Is this the type of company you would want to work for? Think Again.

Advance will treat you like a slave when they have one man working the counter and a line out the door, People just lay their parts on the shelf and walk out the door, I don't blame them I do the same thing and Go to Pep boys. Nobody cares any more.

The company still has a ton of the Best Buy cronies at slightly lower levels of management.

Advance Auto Parts is now "in bed" with a hedge fund activist company. This hedge fund company, since the CEO has been forced out by the same company, is placing a couple of it's cronies on the Board of Directors for Advance Auto Parts. The only goal of this company is to quickly raise the stock price to enjoy a fast few millions in their own pockets. Job elimination, pay cuts, and store closings are the new "norm" until they get rich enough. And people still believe in Karma?? Where is it now?

Also keep in mind slaves don't have bills to pay either, so in all reality ,the slaves are better off

After 20 years of service and many 70-80 hour work weeks I'm ashamed of my employer AAP. as the original post states AAP has had record gains, become the largest in north America tge true colors of this profiteering alliance has shown its true colors. There are a handful of individuals making millions off the faithfully dedicated while they squirm for low wages and increasing benefit costs. Mr Jackson you should be ashamed. Mr Pack, Mr Durkin, Mrs Gillis you're in for a rude awakening once our workers wake up. You're part of the institution that Bernie Sanders wants to fix. Your time is going to come and justice will be swift.

Every company treats the employee like a slave, except you are forgetting that a slave is not paid
