Just now getting back around to this thread...I was 5lzx and, no, I am not an STL. Or an ASTL. Or from Regional. I am from the FL region and here we started something new last year, and I think it is a good thing: for entire region (all stores are open of course, I don't know why original poster would even ask that, geez what a goofball) working Thanksgiving day is for volunteers only (with a signup list supposed to be turned in to the store's TMSG to verify it) and it is double time pay. Store hours vary from store to store as determined by the STL at each store, but all stores did a short day.
And to you, 9usv, you are right to call me out on my comments. I only nose around here when it is late, and I am post-toasty and bored and don't have anything better to do. When and why are you here? I think if you are at all reasonable, you have to agree that a lot of the stuff posted here is just plain stupid. But I will still be back from time to time...

5lzx, why are you on this bottom-feeding website if you're so opposed to it? Just curious. People are seeming to voice what seems like a lot of concerns about this company that were (and in most cases still are) ignored or reviled. There are only a few stores that make double-time on thanksgiving, not all offer this. Most in the MA do not.

Morons. Some of you, anyway, on this dredging the bottom of the bottom-feeders website. And no it's not consistent, bozo. Nothing is consistent with this company. And Thanksgiving day store hours certainly don't need to be consistent. Cater to local market, get TMs out as early as possible. My store was 7am-2pm and we did a lot of sales. Most of competition is closed so we got a lot of people in for their first time, that is worth gold in marketing a store.
Double time, volunteers only in my region. Seems fair to me and not at all a waste of labor.
