Teach out?

Anyone heard of additional teachouts that may be announced, it had been mentioned in an earlier post. Enrollment still down across the board, settlement made but the indicator is still pointed down.

Who would want to buy EDMC? Horrible brand, still in financial trouble, still have lawsuits pending and a stock value of 0.17 cents. You cant just market your way out of that. It's the Radio Shack of education, it has nothing people want anymore. Bu-by.

Students are very aware of the problems and since it is in the news, they are starting to realize that no, it isn't just them feeling this way, and EDMC has been doing this for years. Now that its in the news everywhere, students aren't feeling afraid to speak up anymore about it and are starting to spread the info around campus

"And KKR will probably soon seek to sell EDMC now that the suit is behind it, the source said."

My students are so depressed and don't give a crap anymore.Even the hard workers have given up. Most of them know that a teach out is a joke and would rather just leave knowing that their degrees will be worth nothing.

Students are spreading word around and so many of them are making exit plans. I know my classes are being cut and that I can't exist on these few of classes.

Via a financial analyst kkr is looking to selll their edmc holdings now that the settlement is announced. Expect a bumpy road in 2016. I don't know of official teach outs but schools are ghost towns. It will be interesting to hear how many students drop at the end of this quarter.
