xgs: Pssst--apparently the white guys in management never told you that the hottest babes in CA are transplants from back east! Get 'em before they're just "sloppy seconds."

@ ohm: You don't have to move to Silicon Valley, "La-La Land"--or even Bumfuck, TX! I routinely see positions advertised by recruiters in Sacramento, Portland, OR, Hillsboro, OR, Seattle WA, Bellingham, WA, Detroit, MI, Chicago, IL, suburban Philadelphia, PA, New York City, and the Washington, D.C. area. All are more affordable than Silicon Valley, and most are more affordable than San Diego. Public schools in most are better than those in CA, and may even exceed local San Diego charter/private schools. (Check out Abington, PA!) It takes time to find the right match--but you have until March.

I would not want to live next to neighbors like the Realtor, the fat chick who's mom gave her 2milliion for a down payment, or other douche bags in the video. I think the couple will move and realize the Bay Area is now a very a shitty place to live even if you have deep pockets

If watching the smug people who are patting themselves ln the back for having bought those crapshacks on the edge of Cupertino in 2008 when prices were "low" makes you mad, takke comfort in the fact that a lot of their "million+ dollar homes" were crappy rentals back in the 1980s. That house in Palo Alto that was "in a flood zone" was also red-tagged (uninhabitable) for most of the time I lived in Silicon Valley. The condos are, well, crapshacks.

Corporate America will always find a way to drive down labor cost. The only reason high paying jobs exist is because of supply and demand. No one should expect that a high paying job will last forever. Great if it does and gets you from college to retirement but it doesn't always happen that way. Outsourcing isn't going away and in many ways it's good. Give the mundane, low creativity to the hungry who are willing to do anything. Let us keep the interesting stuff.

@EQF0YT5-adb: just as how we, Americans, losing the jobs to Indians, right? It's just capitalism.

When the foreign investors arrive it's time to get out of the market. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1996-06-03/business/9606030053_1_pacific-rim-practice-e-y-kenneth-leventhal-japanese-investors

Those protesters that start at around 18:56 in the video are so stupid. I'm sure they'd feel differently if they owned a home and could more rent from their house.

The guy complaining that a home should be a right not a privilege is a moron too. If you can't afford to live somewhere then move to somewhere you can afford. I'd love to live on my own private island but that doesn't mean I should get laws passed to take private islands from the rich so people with less money can afford them.

Bunch of socialist pussies.
