EDMC and KKR may get out of the woods after settling the latest federal lawsuit. As the political winds shift stronger to the right, EDMC is likely to get favors from DC. This could an end to government investigations and lawsuits as well as a dismantling of the "gainful employment" regulations. Although there is an increasing level of consciousness about EDMC's business practices, groups like "I Am Ai" will have to organize more students and recruit activist lawyers to assist them.

From what I hear EDMC is still recruiting illegally. Instead they are using a "Start Rate" against their admissions department. It goes off of how many students they sign up against how many actually start. This puts pressure on the admission representative to push those numbers. They are also using "business tactics" to pressure students to attend their courses. They claim that this is only 40% of what goes into an employees review. Regardless it is still illegal using those tactics against a student. I don't know how they plan on staying in operations by overpaying employees to do the "right thing."
