Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Being dead wood is awesome. I am literally getting paid to do absolutely nothing-I don't even have to show up to work anymore. Where is the insult here?

@7qmn - I share you sentiment as well. I got laid off earlier this year. At first I felt bad, but upon reflection and confirmation from two trusted Financial Analysts, being laid off was the best thing that happened to me. I am on solid financial footing and can retire. But I now have the freedom to continue working if I want to and doing something I will enjoy. Best of luck to everyone.

Got laid off and it was the best thing ever! Thanks to Chevron I had an opportunity of a life time and Chevron paid for it.

You a sad piece of shit! Good people lost their jobs, not dead wood. Actually I think they kept a lot of dead wood. They over hired and spoiled the high pots thinking they they are better than others. Sorry but you're not. If you think your not dead wood, then what are you doing to improve the company ?.. A high-level manager in my BU has "deputized" me to be his eyes and ears. Beware there are others too that will report back to management of who needs to be laid off.

And lots will follow him. WTI is trading below $ 36.50 / bbl this morning! Keep backstabbing each other in the office for a few more weeks.
