If you work for Dell Services, there will be no promotion or salary increases... OK, I guess that's a new management style... Dell would rather lose their experienced associates than promote them. It is also highly unlikely you will get a bonus. Staff are not trained unless they pay for it themselves and this has been the case for years.

I worked in Dell Services for 5 and 1/2 years, and sadly the original statement reflects my experience and observations. Promotions in my group of over 200 were virtually non-existent, and since 2012 had only one small COLA salary increase despite good evaluations and leading several successful high-visibility projects. I was able to raise my marketability and improve skill set largely by taking initiative towards additional certifications, however Dell did at least cover test costs and a handful of trainings. My concern is there are unclear prospects on the horizon for my former colleagues and friends in Services with the upcoming acquisition by NTT Data.
I work for Dell... None of this is true. I started at an entry level position 17 months ago, have been promoted twice, and will be getting my scond bonus in March. Dell pays for training. I am currently in a 9 week training class. After I will start a certification training class, also paid for by Dell. They will pay for certifications and reimburse college tuition.
