Halliburton Artificial Lift OKC

Has anyone heard what they'll do with the OKC shop when they merge? Who's eqpt they'd keep? I wonder if they'll shut us down? I heard something might happen this week?

Reda doesn't have tape in motors any more. They got rid of everyone who knew how to do it. They are plug-in now and theeling everyone it is a quality enhancement. They are trying to make assembly idiot proof. Problem is they keep hiring better idiots.

With Centrilift Esp's being the odd ball of the Esp world it would make since to keep both product lines. But I don't see that happening. As easy as our plug in motors are we can train anyone to install them and test them and it saves time and $$$ since you don't have to tape them in like Reda motors. But just like anything else you have people that love our eqpt and people that love Reda style

If I remember correctly, Centrilift was one of the reasons HAL cited in the acquisition. Cable plant would be expensive to move and the R&D facility would be expensive to replace. I guess you could hob a shaft or stack stages either place. Automated winding machines are pretty portable. I have not seen the Global plant so have no idea how good or bad it is. Maybe they have one domestic and one international plant? BHI apparently realized that wasn't such a good idea. Can they have one cheap and dirty plant and another premium plant so assemblers don't accidentally mix them up? (Lexus/Toyota although not the best analogy since Toyotas are still pretty good) Does either plant have any significant ground pollution that would make it expensive to abandon (Bartlesville e.g.)? Certainly middle management is at risk.

just rumors floating around, didn't come from a certain person to me. Just though I'd ask if anyone heard something similar. Have a friend that was told not to make any big purchases and another told if he wanted to continue to work for Hal then he'd have to relocate.

HAL pumps are sooooo much better than Centrilift pumps. No way HAL pumps will be shut down. All those decades...er...months of experience lost?
